The Lehigh Valley is located approximately 60 miles north of Philadelphia and 75 miles west of New York City. The greater region is home to one million people, and is Pennsylvania’s third largest metropolitan area. Recent Pennsylvania census studies show it to be the fastest growing region of the state.

The Lehigh Valley's popularity can be attributed to the proximity to highly-populated neighboring regions, relatively lower costs along with a well recognized concern for "quality of life". The Lehigh Valley is known has historically as a major U.S. center of industrial manufacturing but has transitioned to become a well diversified business corridor with a traditionally strong work ethic.
